Event Details
We are partnering with our friends at Karma Box this Friday, November 19th, from 5-7pm for their boxing match watch party at The Alpine. This fun event features Grant Denton from Karma Box vs. Dave Marlon from Vegas Stronger–the winner gets $10,000 for their non-profit! Karma Box is a new amazing partner of Nevada Humane Society and we are working together to provide resources to Northern Nevadans in need and their pets.
How are we helping?! We’re bringing the cutest Undercard of all time! We will be attending the watch party with two tiny, adorable shelter kittens (Right Hook and Knock Out) who will be providing the crowd entertainment in a tiny boxing ring of their very own. Both kittens will be available for adoption at the event.
The winner of the boxing match gets $10,000 to put towards their non-profit’s mission –check out KOLO 8 News’ coverage of this event for more info. The watch party is free to attend, but donations are greatly appreciated and will go towards the Bridge Project Housing Development that Karma Box Project is working to open to help recovering addicts transition into safe living situations. We can’t wait to see you there!
Date: Friday, November 19th
Time: 5-7pm
Location: The Alpine: 324 E 4th St, Reno, NV 89512
How do we work with Karma Box to help the community?
Karma Box is a community initiative that allows people to give non-perishable food, hygiene products, toiletries, and other useful items to those in need. Karma boxes are filled up with goods by anyone who wants to lend a helping hand to those in need. In partnership with Nevada Humane Society, pet-specific Karma Boxes will be placed in the community with pet food, supplies and toys -helping us care for pets in the community beyond our physical shelters.
