The 2023 Spring series will be each Wednesday from March 22 – May 3, from 10:30am – noon OR 1:30pm – 3:00pm at the Sierra View Library (Old Town Mall).
Nevada Humane Society is excited to sponsor this important educational series about putting important aspects of our lives in order to help provide a sense of peace and freedom.
The Family Estate Planning Series is a seven-week “course” of 90-minute classes taught by area guest speakers. Each week offers a different attorney or other experts, so you can learn about the fundamentals of estate planning; wills, probate, and trusts; health care directives; information stored digitally; and other essential topics. You’ll receive a full binder of reference and planning materials to guide you in achieving that peace of mind for yourself and your family.
This free, in-person classes run seven consecutive Wednesdays with 90-minute sessions. Participants are asked to commit to the seven sessions, as each one complements the others. For reservations or questions, call the Community Foundation at 775-333-5499, email programs@nevadafund.org, or go to nevadafund.org/estate.

Reno’s premiere champagne brunch and fashion experience is back! We are so excited to see you all Saturday, April 8th for a fabulous morning of champagne, puppies, fashion, drag queens, jewelry, brunch and more.
Watch as some of our favorite local animal lovers walk the runway with adoptable shelter pets you can take home, and rescue pets whose amazing stories we’ll be featuring at the event. You’ll see all the life-saving work our team has been continuously doing for the community and get a chance to hear first-hand #HappyTails from some of our animal rescuers and the amazing people who adopted these pets.
As the only open-admission, no-kill animal shelter in the state of Nevada, we provide care, and find homes for more than 18,000 pets in need every year. We are excited to show you how your support makes a difference in the lives of Northern Nevada’s homeless pets in need and the people we pair them with -who fall in love with them.
We are always looking for support from our community to help us raise as much money for the animals as possible! You can help by becoming a sponsor, donating an item or basket for our silent auction, or by purchasing tickets. For direct questions, please reach out to our Development Manager Trent Bingham at tbingham@nevadahumanesociety.org.
