Are you having problems with house training, chewing, excessive barking, scratching or other pet concerns? Then please review the Behavior Information “handouts” on this page.
These have been provided for use by the Humane Society of the United States and the Denver Dumb Friends League: the Pets for Life™ Program. This program provides shelters nationwide with the tools and training they need to help keep pets and their owners together despite obstacles that may arise.
The long-range goal, of course, is to reduce the numbers of behavior-related surrenders to shelters. If you still need assistance after reading about any of the following issues, please call the animal help desk at (775) 856-2000 ext. 200 or email at animalhelp@nevadahumanesociety.org.
