Animal Rescue and Care
We provide care to over 20,000 animals each year. Most are dogs and cats, but we also care for rabbits, gerbils, hamsters, reptiles, birds, and other small animals. Some animals are sick, injured, or traumatized when they arrive at the shelter. Whatever the problem, they receive needed veterinary care through our clinic and tender loving care from our trained animal care staff and volunteers.
The shelter is open seven days a week for adoptions. All dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens are neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Our adoption counselors will help you find the pet who will be the perfect match for you and your lifestyle. Through our Seniors-for-Seniors Pet Adoption program, people aged 55 and up can adopt a pet who is 6 years or older and the adopt fee is waived. You can also see pets available for adoption online at Petango.
