Rough Start to Race Winner
Circus Circus, now known as Peanut, has a special place in the heart of his adopter as well as the staff here. He was found with his siblings and brought to Washoe County as a litter of strays. When they came to us, we needed to get a foster for them to nourish and watch them grow before they could be adopted into happy homes.
Ready, Set, Race!
They became the foster kittens of our Marketing Director, and also got a special place in the Annual Duck Race – the kitten race! As our first virtual Duck Race, everyone tuned in to see peanut take first place. After the Duck Race was over, it was time for these kittens to find their forever homes.
Daisy did not have a pet growing up, so this was her first experience learning to love and care for a pet of her own.
Daisy first knew Peanut was the one when she looked at his description online. It described him as a “chill” and laid-back” kitten. She figured, who wouldn’t want a relaxed kitten?
Purrrfect Match
“I knew I wanted him! A super laid-back kitten? Who wouldn’t?! When we came to visit Peanut, the adoption counselor had to wake him up. When he was on my lap he just fell in and laid there. He was so calm and loving. I instantly knew he was THE cat.” – Daisy, Peanut’s adopter.
It didn’t take long though, for Peanut’s true personality to shine. He immediately showed off his talkative side and as soon as they got home hopped out of his box and zoomed around. He was happy to be home.
Today, Peanut continues to be a character. She let us know that he still LOVES naps, and will come cuddle up with them on a blanket. They have a small patio and he loves to sit outside and people watch. He likes to sit on his condo and watch the birds fly by.
“Peanut is doing great! He is happy and such a joy to be around. He’s very curious and very smart. Our biggest challenge right now is how smart he is. He knows how to open doors. We’re one big happy family!” – Daisy, Peanut’s adopter.
