Indy (formerly Pressure) got a much needed second chance at a happy, pain-free life when he was brought in to our Reno Shelter. He came to us with severe injuries to his hind leg, after having been caught in an animal trap. Our Veterinary Team made the difficult decision to amputate his leg in order to give him a better quality of life. He was also discovered to have a heart murmur, which they would have to keep an eye on. With the hard work and dedication of the team in our clinic, they were able to help Indy make a full recovery!
Although he had a bumpy ride, Indy did not let this hinder his spirits. Indy quickly won over the hearts of the Nevada Humane Society staff as well as his new cat mom, Jen.
Our team introduced him to many firsts, as he came in never having experienced a loving home, or having had people to care for him. We showed him bubbles for the first time and he was mesmerized!
Indy is now Jen’s loyal companion, and regularly sends us pictures and updates of him enjoying life as a house cat. His new favorite activities are lap snuggling and lounging about, especially on nice fluffy surfaces.
Jen shared that Indy brings her comfort and positivity during the pandemic. This has been a hard year for many, so it is nice to know you have a furry friend who you can always rely on!
Thanks to Nevada Humane society supporters like you, we can continue our life-saving work ensuring animals like Indy get a second chance at a happy life.
