Hi, there! I’m Stephanie Kruse, the founder of KPS3 Marketing, a national marketing, communications, and digital firm based in Reno, NV. I also run my own consulting firm, Steph Kruse LLC, better known as “Just Steph,” where I specialize in helping nonprofit boards and foundations operate more effectively.
With over 40 years of experience in marketing, public relations, and advertising, I started KPS3 in 1991 after earning my MBA in marketing and organizational strategy from the University of Nevada, Reno. Before launching KPS3, I spent nine years as the director of marketing for Saint Mary’s Health Network. I also hold a bachelor’s degree in journalism and theater and am a (long) retired registered nurse.
Community service has always been a huge part of my life. I currently serve on several boards, including High Sierra Industries/WARC, Access to Healthcare Network, the Renown Health Foundation Board, the University of Nevada, Reno Foundation Board, the Desert Research Institute Foundation Board, the Donor Network West Foundation Board, and the University of Nevada, Reno Community Health Sciences Advisory Board. I’m also an ex officio member of the REMSA board of directors. Over the years, I’ve had the honor of serving on many other boards, including EDAWN, The Children’s Cabinet, WIN (Western Industrial Nevada), United Way of Northern Nevada and the Sierra, Special Olympics Nevada, the Nevada Women’s Fund, and the Reno-Sparks Chamber of Commerce, among others.
Throughout my career, I’ve been recognized with several awards that mean a great deal to me. These include numerous Silver Spike Awards and a Golden Spike Award from the PRSA Sierra Nevada Chapter, “Ad Person of the Year” by the Reno Advertising Club, and “Marketer of the Year” by the Northern Nevada Chapter of the American Marketing Association. I’ve also been named Alum of the Year for Leadership Reno-Sparks, Professional Member of the Year by the University of Nevada, Reno Alumni Association, and received the Women of Distinction Award from the Las Vegas NAWBO chapter. In 2022, I was inducted into the Junior Achievement Hall of Fame, an honor I’m truly grateful for.
