Meet Debow. Create Happy Tails.

Debow’s story could have ended the day he arrived at our Reno Campus. At just six weeks old, he had been cruelly abused and was suffering from seizures nearly every hour from the trauma he endured. With a brace holding up his neck, legs too weak to stand, and syringe feeding keeping him alive, his future looked heartbreakingly uncertain.

But you didn’t let his story end there.

Because of you, Debow received emergency, round-the-clock care from NHS’s Director of Community Medicine and Surgery, Dr. Fitzpatrick, who fostered him for six weeks. She monitored every seizure, gave injectable meds, and cheered him on as he grew stronger. By mid-May, he was playing with toys, walking on his own, and even taking his first bath.

Meet Iris. Support Second Chances.

A senior pup who had been abandoned at 11 years old and bounced between shelters, foster homes, and brief adoptions. Despite losing one eye and facing many challenges, Iris never lost her sweet spirit. Because of you, she received the love and care she needed to heal and find her perfect match – a new dad who adjusted his schedule to give Iris the attention she deserved.

Iris lived her best golden years in a home filled with snuggles, adventures, and all the love she’s always longed for. Her journey is a beautiful reminder that it's never too late for a second chance, and your support made it possible!

Meet our 5 Puppies. Support Fosters.

Recently, our team was faced with a heartbreaking situation: five tiny puppies, just hours old, were found abandoned in a trash bag on the side of the road. Miraculously, a compassionate good Samaritan discovered the puppies and quickly brought them to the shelter. Because of you, they were provided them with the immediate care they needed to survive.

Our dedicated Foster team is working hard to help these puppies grow strong and healthy, preparing them for endless cuddles waiting for them in their future forever homes. But we can’t do it alone!
