When this sweet kitten came into our care, she had been born with anophthalmia, a birth defect that causes one or both eyes to improperly develop. Our vet staff made sure to remove her defective left eye during surgery. Her right eye can see shadows and certain shades of colors but all in all it currently isn’t stopping her from being able to play, cuddle, or eat treats.
We made sure to give her plenty of time to recover and rest before making her available to the public. Kittens in our Reno Shelter location are adopted out quickly and so her chances were pretty high. After all, just look at that sweet face!
“Forsythia is doing great, she sleeps every night with our 14 year old daughter and gets along great with our other cat Luna- they are buddies!” -Mason, Forsythia’s new owner.
