NHS received 47 Owner/Guardian Surrenders (+0 animals from the previous week), 17 Strays (+2 animals from the previous week) and 0 Good Samaritan Strays (-4 animals from the previous week). We also transferred in 25 dogs, 31 cats, and 2 other animals from our close partners at Washoe County Regional Animal Services.

Last week, 1 dog was humanely euthanized for medical reasons and 1 cat had an unassisted death in our care. 2 dogs were euthanized for behavior – one for aggression to humans and the other for aggression to humans and animals.
