Story of Hope: How Your Help Saves Lives

As we reflect on this year, we’re reminded of the powerful impact you’ve had on our mission to care for pets, help them find loving homes, and save lives. Today, we want to share a story that highlights just how much your support matters. 

Nearly two months ago, five tiny puppies were found abandoned in a trash bag, left to fend for themselves on the side of the road. Just hours old and struggling to survive, they were in desperate need of immediate care. Fortunately, a compassionate good Samaritan found them in time and rushed them to our Carson City Campus. 

Thanks to donors like YOU, we were able to provide the puppies with the life-saving care they urgently needed.  

Today, we’re thrilled to report that these puppies are thriving! At 8 weeks old, they’ve more than doubled in size, they love to chew on anything they can find, and they’ve mastered the art of walking. But perhaps the most joyful part of their journey has been watching their unique personalities emerge. Some are bold and curious, while others are a little more reserved, but each one has brought their own special charm. 

Though they’ve come a long way, their journey is far from over. These puppies, like so many others, still need ongoing veterinary care, proper nutrition, and essential supplies to have happy, healthy lives. And as you know, this comes with a cost.
