Slowly, she began to eat on her own. She gained weight. She purred. Against all odds, she survived. 

Six weeks later, she was healthy enough to be adopted, and she went home for good. Today, Playa is thriving: playful, curious, and full of life. She is living proof of what your generosity makes possible. 

But Playa’s story isn’t rare. Every day, animals arrive at Nevada Humane Society injured, sick, abandoned, or found in impossible circumstances. They all need the same thing: immediate care, time, and compassion.
