12 Saves | A Year of Happiness for Chai

Chai’s journey began in the middle of the night, when her mother was abandoned at our front door. By morning, she had given birth to Chai and her littermates. Fragile and vulnerable, the little family would soon begin a new journey. 

Because of you, they were placed in foster care together, where their mom could nurse and care for them in a safe, loving environment. With round-the-clock support from a foster family and the medical resources your generosity provided, the kittens grew strong enough for spay/neuter surgeries, vaccines, and everything they needed to be ready for adoption. 

This journey may sound simple, but it reflects the heart of what you make possible every day, all year long. Behind every happy tail is a generous donor like you, ensuring pets like Chai never go without safety, care, and a future.

For Chai, that future came when the Najera family adopted her. They recently celebrated her one-year “gotcha day,” sharing that her first year has been nothing short of “purr-fect.” Chai now has an older brother named Macchiato, and the two have become instant best friends. Today, Chai spends her days playing, napping, and soaking up all the love (and Churu treats!) her family can give.

Because of you, a kitten born into uncertainty is now thriving in the home she was always meant to have.
