TOBY – Toby came to our shelter in early 2021. She was rescued from a neglectful situation and was a little bit on the shy side. We worked to build her confidence and soon figured out that she had kidney disease and had to be put on a special diet.
This girl was tiny for being four years old, and you could tell she had been through a lot already in her life.
She was overlooked at the shelter many times due to her being on a special diet and needing specialized care, but she waited ever so patiently for that right person to come along.
Toby finally found her. Morgan came in to the shelter on May 11, and left with a new member of her family.
The cat staff team had become so fond of Toby they were thrilled to see her find a happy home. Her new cat mom shared that she is adjusting well to her new home, and that she knows she is grateful for those that took care of her at the shelter.
She told us that the first few nights after Toby’s arrival, she talked and talked. “After moving out of my closet, she moved into a nicer place, My Pillows. She immediately decided on top of my shorts in my closet was her new bed.” – Toby’s cat mom.
We are grateful that Toby was able to find comfort and happiness in her new forever home, and that pets like her never have to experience neglect again.
