What to Expect on Your Dog Date

Dog Dates are a great way to spend quality time with a dog, get an introduction to fostering, enjoy companionship, and give back to a pup in need of a little extra TLC.

Let’s date! Here’s a rundown of everything you need to know before and after you sign up for a dog date:

Start Time & Orientation:

  • Your date starts at 10 a.m. with a short orientation. This early start keeps our pups out of the heat of the day!
  • During orientation, we get to know you and your plans for the day, and then explain the expectations and safety procedure for the dogs.

Meeting Your Date:

  • After orientation, you'll meet your dog in the lobby.
  • Our staff helps you load the pup into your car.
  • We ensure the dog is comfortable, especially if it's their first car trip.

Supplies Provided:

  • Treats
  • Water bottles for your canine companion
  • Water bowl
  • Poop bags
  • Leash & Collar/No Pull Harness

Duration:

  • Your date should be a minimum of an hour to allow the dog time to decompress and have fun.
  • You can keep the dog until 4:30 p.m., when they need to be back for dinner.

Support & Contact:

  • You'll always have a point of contact for any questions or issues during the day!

Return Procedure:

  • When you return, check-in at the front desk.
  • The Dog Team will meet you to hand off your date.
  • Fill out a report card to complete the process.
