We are providing support to people and pets affected by the fires surrounding our community in three important ways.

1. We assisted our partners at Washoe County Regional Animal Services with staffing the Reno-Sparks Convention Center evacuation site they managed, by providing donated pet food and supplies, staff and volunteers to help care for animals who have been displaced by the fires.
2. We managed the Fuji Park evacuation site in Carson City which opened when the Caldor fire evacuations began. We provided care for cats, dogs and small animals in need that were displaced by by the fires. At this time we are excited to be reuniting pets with their families as evacuation orders are being lifted.
3. We are transporting all items donated to both our Reno and Carson City Shelters from 8.30 – 9.5 to various evacuation sites and animal shelters that are caring for pets who have been displaced by the fires.
