  • NHS collects personal contact information from the following:
    • Clients for services including adoptions, clinic, and animal help desk, and pet food assistance.
    • Volunteers and community service participants.
    • Donors.
  • Personal contact information includes name, physical address, phone numbers, and email address and is collected on a volunteer basis.
  • Volunteer information collected also includes special skills and interests.
  • Financial transaction information may also include credit card details as appropriate.

 

How is the information collected by NHS used?

  • NHS holds all personal information in the strictest confidence.
  • NHS will not sell or otherwise share your personal information with any third parties.
  • All client, volunteer and donor information collected may be used to send newsletters, appeal letters, and eblasts (unless requested to not send).
    • Eblast recipients can opt out.
    • Data base has a flag for people who have indicated that they do not want to receive any mailings or for those that specifically do not want to receive thank yous.
  • Volunteer information collected is also used to solicit volunteer assistance.
  • Donor information collected is also used to send thank yous and receipts for tax records.
